Woska Associates was established in 1998 by William J. Woska. Mr. Woska represents employers in all aspects of employment and labor law. He possesses baccalaureate and juris doctorate degrees and has been an adjunct professor for many years at colleges and universities including the University of California, Berkeley, Golden Gate University, San Diego State University, and Saint Mary’s College in Moraga, California. He teaches law courses including Employment, Labor, Contracts, and Business Law.
Mr. Woska is the author of numerous publications addressing employment law issues. These include negligent employment practices, reference checking, background investigations, pay for time not worked, employee handbooks, sexual harassment, supplemental benefits, qualification standards, and related topics. His articles have appeared in Public Administration Review, Labor Law Journal, Public Personnel Review, Public Personnel Management, Labor Relations News, Police Chief, and HR News. He is a member of the Employment and Labor Law Section of The State Bar of California.
Woska Associates represents employers with respect to employment and labor law issues. In addition, training programs addressing employment law subjects including sexual harassment, negligent employment practices, reference checking, drugs and alcohol, preventing workplace violence, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and related topics, are conducted. Presentations are often concluded with team competition, where participants are divided into small groups for an exciting hour long exercise that serves as a refresher with respect to the training program.
